I've been considering upgrading my blogging software for awhile now. Having used Blogger for almost two years, I wasn't thirlled with the features or interface anymore. While it was easy to post with software such as Picassa (or Hello before it), the lack of any organization beyond the monthly archives made it difficult for anyone to find the gems in my heaping pile of content.
So, last night I decided to migrate to Moveable Type. I was able to import everything from Blogger, to include all of your treasured comments.
I'm putting up the new site early, before selecting a new template, and before going through and categorizing all of the previous posts. You'll get to see the evolution right before your eyes! It looks like I'll have to clean upa bunch of formatting problems in these posts too--Blogger made me lazy!
But, ack, I've got a 12pm appointment so I better go! I'll be back to working on this later.
EDIT: So far so good, but I'm shocked that Movable Type doesn't offer a WYSIWYG editor. Since this is mainly a photoblog that isn't too big of a deal though. I've made some slight changes to the basic template here, and begun to categorize old posts, but don't be suprised if there is another big overhaul.

Although it's not finished yet, I already find it easier to navigate. Categories for the posts are key. Also, it seems that the "categories" on the left side of the page (for links, etc.) stand out much more than before.
Still, hope that you eventually get the leaves, or something similar, in the banner.

Hey this is looking really good. Easy to navigate, and I'm sure once you iron out the kinks with the graphics that it will look WAY better than your previous blog. So how are you feeling about the change?
