On Saturday, my friends Richie and Taein were married at the Apgujeong Wedding Hall in Seoul. Now they're celebrating their honeymoon in Koh Samui, Thailand for the next week or so. That's a great way for them to start their marriage. I'm a bit envious of their escape from the cold winter. The wedding featured typical Korean-style smoke effects, but was mysteriously lacking bubbles.
I went with my girlfriend Una (pictured above, of course) who at one point totally cracked me up. If you look at the family photo below, you'll see that the man standing next to Richie's mom doesn't bare a hint of resemblence to Richie. Una asked me about this, because she was confused as to how Richie could have turned out so pale! Hahaha. Although, when I further explained that with Taein's mom was her step-father, she said she already knew by comparing thier faces; and again I laughed.

Bigger photos = good move.
Funny hearing about what Una said - I wonder how many times those comments were repeated around the hall?
I like the bigger photos too within the main entry text, and you can still click on them to get larger versions. I think the current site should look pretty good on a typical 1024x768 display.
I'm quite pleased with the layout of this post, with one main photo and bunch of large thumbnails. You've probably also noticed the new site banners, which are pulled at random from a directory. What's crazy is that I made a dozen 700 pixel wide banners and then went back THAT NIGHT and began remaking them at 900 pixels to fit the new wider format.
Anyway...
If Una was slightly confused about the melanin then there must have been lots of other people scratching their heads too. It's just another one of those amusing things in Korea. Something that is unconsciouslly processed in my head is a subject of confusion.
I didn't realize about the random banner images until now - great idea!
After seeing yours, I'd like to figure out how to get the 700 pixel width pics on my blog, as well.
I used the php script over at http://www.alistapart.com/articles/randomizer/
I picked this because all you have to do is make a separate directory for the images and it will pick at random from the directory list. You don't need to update an image list. Configuration was also simple--there was none! Just had to drop a simple line in the template and I was done.
