2006 Seoul Auto Salon

Let's take a break my Japanese photos and return to what comes up as my #1 search engine referral every month, asian models. In particular, beautiful Korean models...

On Sunday evening I was browsing one of the many event listings for Seoul, looking for photo opportunities when I discovered that I had nearly missed the 2006 Seoul Auto Salon, a car show supposedly focused on modified and exotic cars--but one look at the photos here and you'll see what it's really about. The next day at 4pm I arrived at the Coex Mall, closing day for the show, two scant hours before it would all be over. Inside were hundreds of amateur photographers snapping photos of models using all sorts of cameras. There sure were a lot of DSLR's. I didn't delay, I paid my 8,000 won admission and jumped right in.

Most of the crowd wasn't paying attention to the cars, in fact, you won't see any car-centered photos here.

Obviously there's lots of plastic surgery going around. Lots of colored contact lenses too. But a couple of these girls really had me confused, like the above left girl... is she a halfie?

This post is dedicated to my friend Alex, who after living in Korea for several years finally inspired me to check it out--but then left last November to return to America, the land of obese white girls. These photos are for you, buddy.

Being the token white-guy photographer and taller than most of the crowd worked to my advantage. As you can see many of the models were happy to turn my way and smile, although I generally prefer off-camera focus.

I know these shots are going to be quite popular, which is why they aren't clickable for larger versions. This whole collection not only took two hours to shoot, but several more hours to process in Photoshop. However, feel free to link to this post, and if you absolutely must steal make sure to credit me along with a link back here. Just don't try to hotlink the photos directly because your link will point back to a photo of me... which isn't such a bad thing either. :P

You need to stop by and say hi sometime! Also, feel free to add your blog to my links directory.

Peace!

Mike

ya' done good, maestro watson, real good.

LOL, while these model photos have generated a record amount of traffic here (well-over 3gb yesterday), they've got less comments than the fricken cemetery below. WTF? You're all a bunch of tossers!

"I know these shots are going to be quite popular, which is why they aren't clickable for larger versions."

Dude, these shots are a dime a dozen all over the internet.

...and yet thousands of people have followed the links posted by other bloggers at multiple sites to come see them here, including yourself.

A popular POST, okay. The shots are easy to come by and they probably won't generate many comments.

Mate, Love it...tasty and tasteful for and old CP like me..

Great shots Max. Doesn't matter that there are shots like these all over the net, as some say. YOU took these ones.
I'll have to see if I can top ya now!

Chris

Great shots, Max. I agree with Chris, it doesn't matter what one tiny minded person says, you were there, you took the shots and you posted them for those of us who have followed your interest in photography. After all, you fricking perverts out there, this is about art and one person's prospective on this type of art. If you don't like these shots, go take some of your own.

These are some great photos--the models look so lovely and fun!

I was wondering about the "halfie" myself. Her eyes are so big . . . In my opinion, she was the prettiest, probably because she stood out.

I don't know if I like the term "halfie." My kids have a Korean mother and thier kids a white father. I know I dont like "quarterly."

Anyway, mixed race Koreans don't have the high and very round cheekbones like this model but I did enjoy the study time right or wrong.

Christ, I'm away from your blog for a little while and I come back to this! That'll keep me checking in more often.

This is a fine example of what one misses being on the island - not too many events like that down here.

Well Max, the chicks in my latest entry aren't car show models....but they ARE naked!

I'm down with the bitches, but did you get any shots of coolness taht might be sold stateside soon?

USA ...land of the obese white girls.... funny line. Tell me about it, I spend my free time driving our little Asian town here just to look at a few Asian lovelies. Once you discover Asian girls, can you ever go back? I don't think I can.

Do you think Kushibo looks like those women in a bikini?

Where are you?? You haven't updated in ages!

Keep up the great work on your blog. Best wishes WaltDe

So there are some attractive Korean girls out there after all.

Really nice photos! Do you have the names of these lovelies? Have you ever compared Korean race queens to Japanese ones? I really like Hurukawa Yuna - check out http://japansugoi.com/wordpress/harukawa-yuna-gravure-idol-videos/
Whether Japanese or Korean, they all look nice.

hm, that halfie, isn't a halfie, she looks pure asian to me.

halfies, as in a definite visible one, such as half caucasian and half asian, their skin tone would be much more lighter, and the caucasian side would be more dominant than of the asian side, regardless if it is the mother or father who is asian. I have many half caucasian -asian friends, including 1/4 caucasian too.

One of my schoolmates is 1/4 spanish, and the 3/4 is Filipino and she looks very white, including my 1/4 russian and 3/4 chinese friend, who looks very white, yet has some asian characteristics, but her skin colour and hair colour are obviously not asian. Well there are some occasions where a halfie somehow got more of the asian side, like this classmate of mines, but he was highly obese, so I couldn't tell the difference... =\ and he got tanned while he was in Philippines.
