Next to Maruyama Park in Kyoto is the Choinin Temple. Pictured here is the entrance gate, at 24 meters tall it is the largest in Japan. Unfortunately this is all I got to see of this site since Kyoto's temples have a very annoying policy of closing at 4:30pm.

Hey there. I am sure you have been asked this many times, but wondering what type of camera you are using? I am looking at buying thr Canon 30D. Do you know the best places in Seoul to buy?
I have a Canon 350D. The 30D is nice, but the 400D coming out next month is half the price and with many of the same features (to include some new ones). The 30D is aimed at professional photographers and it's more durable. But if you're not going to be taking 100 photos a day and carelessly tossing your equipment around, save your money and get a 400D. That extra money would be much better spent on lenses.
The biggest issue that people have with the 350D/400D is that it's uncomfortably small in western hands. That's alleviated by adding on the BG-E3 battery grip, which also adds portrait-orientation camera controls. I wouldn't use this camera without the grip, or really any other SLR.
I buy most of my photo equipment in the USA since it's often cheaper there. Though I have bought some things in Korea, but always online because that is where you find the best prices. Even more so when you factor in time.
Danawa is a good source for low prices, here's a link to their 30D page, which you can then jump to a online seller price list. Looks like you'll pay around 1.3 million won.

Though, my favorite place to buy things online is through http://www.gsestore.co.kr. Once you've set up an account it's quite easy to place more orders with them. Plus they'll constantly send you coupons in email. GS eStore is the type of site where many small shops sell their goods. I've had many orders through them and never a problem. Anyway, they just sent me a 7% off coupon, which means I could get a 30D off their site for 1,275,030 won. That's likely the best price in Korea.
